Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot is now apparently training for the NBA, showing off dribbling, shooting, and jumping skills that look unnervingly fluid. This is claimed to be the first-ever real-world basketball demo by a humanoid, and it even includes the robot blocking a human’s shot, a humbling experience for all of us non-robotic lifeforms. The next Space Jam movie is going to be very, very weird.
